Default Conditions on JPP?

Looking for an update on Priest after all the rain earlier this week...still muddy? Is lake high enough now for boat launch?

I can't recall the lake being too low to launch a boat-----------somewhere.
What ramp are you referring to?
I was at Smith Springs earlier this week and the water has risen. There was 3 trailers on the lot. One boater came in and loaded with no problem.
Most docks are still likely sitting on dry land though.

I put in at Jefferson a couple weeks ago and had no problem with the water level. Anyone have an Idea of Temp for the lake at the moment.

Still pretty chilly. I need that water to warm up a bit!

Most likely fishing JPP tomorrow out of Smith Springs with Blink. We'll be in the yaks if you want to join. My two priorities are to flyfish for early morning bass and spend the rest of the day on and off bass fishing but really putting a lot of effort into taking some Crappie home since I don't like to eat prespawn bass.

If that temp is correct than it's dropped 6 degrees from when I fish last. I was getting 50 degree water a a couple weeks ago. I was also up by Jefferson springs.

It seems right to me since we've had some really cold nights since you were at Jefferson Springs

I am tired of winter, Bring on spring! I wonder if the crappie have slid back out deeper then. I know last time I fished people were catching them in 3' of water. My most productive was that 10-12' range.

The temps from that site comes from the dam area, is usually a good 3-6 degrees colder and behind the way upper end of the lake.

Two weeks ago I was fishing 55-56 degree water. Last Sunday the warmest I found was 44-45. Then we had the cold rain for a day then sub freezing temps for three days. The water is still going to be cold. This sunshine and dirty water should warm it back into the 50's by Sat or Sun.

I really want to fish Sunday, I think I am willing to risk upsetting the wife in order to catch some fish.

Fish in the Stewart Creek area. That water should be in the mid 50's by then.

Water temp yesterday at Jefferson Springs was 48-49 degrees and the lake had risen about 2 feet in the last week.

A friend of mine fished the upper end of JPP today. Said the water temps got up to 55 this afternoon.

Lookout for Sunday, they'll be on the banks!
