Default Creek fishing sunday

I got out for an hour and a half on Sunday to try a local creek. I thought it would be tough as the water is still very cold and was running high. Amazingly, the fish were biting great. I caught 30+ sunfish and 1 bass on a trout magnet. Bison and white colors both worked well. None of the fish were really big and maybe a 1/3 of the sunfish would have been keepers, but all went back.

Seems like spring is beginning for the fish,
Jim

Glad you got on them. I'm hoping it warms up soon.

I haven't fished a creek since last may. Nice job.

I miss wading those tiny streams with trout magnets up into early Fall. Can't wait for Springtime when the Smallies in there will really be active! I've been waiting for a while to dust off my flyrod and I'm making it a point this year to use it a lot more. A nice creek Smallie will be a perfect way to rejuvenate my love for fly fishing!

Ever fished the smith fork? It's great for smallmouth, even some pretty big ones!
