Default CFR 1/11/14... Skunked!

Hey, it happens. These days are what keep us coming back for more. Fished the Dam from 8:30 am - noon.
Only had 2 bites and they were on salmon TM. I did not see 1 fish caught either from bank nor boat. I threw everything at them. There are tons of dead shad coming thru and a bunch of gulls swarming the Dam at this point. Are there bellies just too full.

Fished 103 days last year and was skunked once. Fished New Years day and again Jan 4. Skunked both times but did at least get a few bites and one lost fish on the 4th. Not the way I wanted to start this year. Hoping to turn things around tomorrow with this warm spell. That's why they call it fishing

I hope you are right I may get a chance to fish tomorrow. Those are good numbers you had last year, do you keep a log?

No log. I just post pictures and video from each trip on FB. That's the only way I was able to figure the number of days. I was shocked actually when I saw how much I was able to go. That was my New Years resolution in 2013 to get out more and probably the only one I have ever succeeded at

I had that experience several times last winter. Shad coming through like crazy, no fish feeding. I think you need to be there when they start coming through. If you are too late, they are all full.

I didn't get a chance to get out. Studied old steam plant posts and Stayed at home with the kids and got pelted with air soft pellets.
