Default Boat Crash in FLW Tournament

Shinichi Fukae crashed into the Paris Landing Bridge during the FLW tournament. Cameraman on the boat had to be life-flighted and apparently is hospitalized at Vanderbilt.

Apparently it happened because he was reaching for something rolling around on the boat floor while running under the bridge. When you're out on wide, open water, it's easy to forget that boats are just as dangerous as cars when you're busting along at 70 mph.

Be careful out there, folks. This guy was a pro and it happened to him - it can happen to any of us and it only takes a split second of diverted attention.

This is very sad to hear. It is easy to get complacent out there on the water doing something you do every week, and think you can do in your sleep. It's a dangerous place out there and we always have to keep a clear mind, and concentrate on the task at hand. Prayers are going out to the individuals involved.

Man, he is lucky it wasn't more of a direction impact. Lucky again for them he was in contention and there was a camera boat trailing. If it had been the guy in last they might still be wondering why he hasn't weighed in.

Can you imagine that at night..

Prayers and speedy recovery for those two guys involved.
