Exclamation Who Is familiar with MinnKota?

I have a MinnKota PowerDrive and it is making a clicking noise at the trolling motor when I press the throttle to propel. If you can give me any insight it would be greatly appreciated feel free to contact me on my cell.
Thanks in advance-
Jonathan (615)977-9999.

Merv may be able to help you with this. He's had quite an experience with one that went out and getting it replaced.

My friends was doing something similar. The problem with his was one of the zip ties holding the transducer cable to the shaft was too tight and cutting into the cable going to the transducer. It was electrical current escaping the cable where it was cut from the zip tie. Not sure if it's similar to yours but worth a check.

Mine was doing the same, the pin behind the prop had mashed into the plastic on the prop, it protruded enough to make the noise.

Spin prop and see if it is rubbing. Could have slight bend in the shaft. Or possible be the brushes
