Crappie on Ky. Lake ???
Will fish KY lake at the beginning of April for Crappie
any tips on where to find them there?! I usually fish Old Hickory lake that time of year but rented a VBRO with a couple buddy's. Mid lake area around Danville and north. |
Reckon I'll find out when I get there. :D

I always fished the Buchanan resort area and south of there and I would say your looking at 6’ deep or shallower depending on the weather and temperatures. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I'm ready to fish!
Thanks bud.
The Red buds are in full bloom now and I feel the Dogwoods will be at or near bloom by April 1st and that is when our area usually see's crappie action. |

Good luck out there |
Thanks I'll consider trolling if we can't find them.
Looks like the water will be up but a cold front is supposed to keep day temps in the 50's that week. |
Cross creeks
Anyone ever fish Elk Creek area between Dover and Clarksville. I was curious as to how deep that area averaged. Navionics does not show depth for it.

Fished Elk creek. Wind was brutal but I did like what I seen and will return soon. Caught no fish there.
Next day fished the back of Big Sandy on Ky Lake did not get many fish and seen the strangest thing a dust devil over water that hit our boat and spun us around a bit. Did see two Bald Eagles in Big Sandy cruising over our fishing spot i'm sure with Asian carp they should be feeding well nowdays. Next day fished Leatherwood and stayed in the Leatherwood where I caught a 2.5-3.5 lbs Smallie on an ultralight and crappie jig. That was fun. |
Nice SM Bass! I hope you get on some good Crappie while you are up there.
