I haven’t heard any reports of catch anything. It is time to start sauger fishing but assumed they were running too much current on Cumberland system. I thought I might get out for some crappie fishing this weekend but to dang lazy.

They are catching them below dam at Nickajack.....but you have to deal with a lot of small white bass in between sauger.

Thanks Alpha. I haven't been sauger fishing in many years. Way back then I started my sauger fishing on Thanksgiving Day. I always did pretty well, too. I have never fished for them below a dam. I guess I would find the eddies and fish them for starters. I bet rip rap would be good too. Might be time for me to try Pickwick Dam.

Fished yesterday 1pm to 430pm. Caught 5 keepers and tossed back around 8 shorts. Bouncing jigs 25-30 ft of water. Most of the action near the end of the day.
