Ageless used to fish the caney at least 2 times a week(couple a years ago), I know things change but we would catch several down toward Gordonsville and Carthage at this time of the year while fishing for trout or stripers in late afternoon and evening. Years ago(in the 90's) would troll banks up above sligo and catch several with 2 or 3, 5 to 7 pounders. You may have to wait until spring to really get into them at Rock Island around the Blue Hole(never could get over there during that time, I do tax returns thru April).

Smile Eye's !! In the fall .. Center Hill .. <'TK><

Okay warning ... I went to Minn in January of this year and picked up a Alumacraft Competitor Walleye boat ... So I could go fishing for the eyes ... (The wife and i love to fish for eyes ... The wife caught a 10.6# eye a year before I sold my Guide boat in 2007 ...)

So Any information I give out will be null and void after I get the boat rigged and start fishing next year !!! LOL !! ( Isn't hell it when you retire to enjoy some fishing but your other retirement hobby ...Old Outboards .. keeps getting in the way !!) ..

Okay folks the eyes are starting to migrate back upstream toward rock Island ... And about this time of year I would be fishing from Floating Mill to the Narrows ... And maybe check out the left bank pass Hurricane Ramp/Bridge ... There are some nice coves and river bank before you get to Mine Lick creek ... If I was going fishing for Eyes that is ... <'TK><

The bridge is under construction right now and down to a tight one lane to get across it. When the light changes to green, just close your eyes and mash the gas.

If coming from I-40 get off at Silver Point .... The ramp is on the North side of the Lake ... You won't have to cross the Bridge ... <'TK><

Get a map and you will see close to Long Branch (down stream) when the lake is at normal pool that this can be crossed instead of going around the circle ... It is about mid lake ... It would be at about 18.7 on the navigational mile channel mark .... <'TK><

Sorry TK I meant that agelesssone. Was wondering if he's been out in the past few days. I did grow up fishing for Walleyes in South Dakota, so always trying to find a few places down here for eyes.
