My Teen years were based on the area below the Old Hickory Bridge and would skip school and fish all day.

I would catch Mud Puppy's that their size would freek us kids out as they were 8-14".
Also would catch Eels and though it was a monster like the Mud Puppy's

If I catch an Eel now that sucker will be smoked and Eaten!!!

Oh and Carp WHOA.... I caught monster Carp on Fresh yellow corn!

That is a lot of stuff to use. It definitely gives me some options. My grandfather had a catawba tree and I definitely agree they work. I am in East Nashville, but I will meet anyone anywhere to get some of those.

What about depth? How deep to you guys fish? And I assume you use sinkers.
