Default Rainbow Connection--- with a lot of Browns

I've been telling my wife all week, WE are going fishing on Sunday. First time this year for her.

She never really said no or yes. Just silence. On Sunday morning at around 10AM I said, "Let's go." And off we went

On the way over I told her it might rain but probably not. About half way there it started raining... with a vengeance. My wife said, "I'm not fishing in the rain all day. I'm not like your crazy friends." I assured her it would not be raining where we were going. The rain fell harder the closer we got.

When we arrived it was sprinkling. Then rain again. I gave her my rain coat and my hat. I told her we would fish until she was ready to leave.

She ended up catching around 30 fish... the whole time in the rain. For over 5 hours. Most of the time I don't think she even realized it was raining. Finally around 5:30 she said she was ready to go. She wasn't wet. The fish stopped biting.

Overall we caught around 60 fish. Mix of bows and browns. No monsters. Biggest around 14 inches. A great day.

On the way home she said, "If you want to go next week, we can."

How about that?

Sounds like you took home a keeper. I feel sorry for my friends who's wives never spend time in the outdoors with them.

And some fishermen are GLAD their wives/significant others don't want to go.

Not everyone wants to be tied at the hip with their partner.

I love my wife dearly...and I love my alone time on the water too. One size does not fit all.

My wife and I spend lots of quality time together. I take her dancing almost every weekend...unless she is too tired to go.

How often do you take your wife dancing?

Default On the Water

Don't get me wrong. I don't want her to go every time.
Twice a year is fine. I love my alone time. Fishing with buddies is great but I can fish dawn to dusk by myself without a worry. In fact, like you, I love it.

I do talk to myself a lot though... mostly about fishing.

x2, I was up there also on Sunday in my Jon Boat. Did you notice new concrete poured at the large ramp or was I just seeing things?

Interesting, did you notice if its stays dry when under generation? I pull a trailer and it would be easier for me if I could drive down and turn around on it during high water rather than backing up, especially at night.
