Default Headed to the White River

Surprise invitation came from someone on my website the other day.
He has been going to the White for 20+ years and wanted to know if I was interested in going next weekend.

I am SUPER pumped !!!

I was thinking about it this afternoon and this is my first out of state trip specifically to fish.

Flyrod and spinning gear is ready. Flies and trout magnets here we go !

Congrats. You should catch a bunch of trout out there. Those rainbows in the White really like small crank baits....along with the TM.

Ive been there...Calico Rock...3 times.....I think brown trout has been about 70 or so times. I know for an UL angler it can be like being in paradise. My two sons and I are heading to the Little Red this spring.

I have fished down that way several times. I would concentrate on Rainbows as the browns will have moved up river past you by now in their migration. Looking at the web cams and the projected releases you will have fairly low water. Should be good fishing using the Trout Magnet or using small cranks. Good luck and I know you will have an awesome trip. That is a beautiful river.
