Default Hybrid drought ended

I have been having a helluva time finding/catching hybrids this past week.
One trip had four, next day it was three, third day, one, last Sunday, 0!
The Sunday trip was so bad, I didn't even charge my clients for the trip AND I gave them a card for a 50% off trip for Jan-Mar, when the hybrid fishing is usually the hottest.

Found a lot of my fish on the 4 1/2 but they were shallower than usual. Normally I'll find them in 25-30 FOW but yesterday they were holding near the bottom in 22-24 FOW.

Caught all of the fish on live shad.

Also found some fish on the Baker's Grove roadbed and in between Racoon and Bear Island. Found fish in a few different places unlike last week when I couldn't find them anywhere.

HAPPY FISHING, Y'ALL.

Sorry to hear about the drought, but sounds like things are picking up. You are a good guy for posting these reports and for treating you clients very fairly. Most guys wouldn’t do that. 👍🏼

I can tell you with 10000000000% confidence, other guides WILL NOT not charge you AND give you half off your next trip. Good job Merv, I knew you wasn’t always an asshole!!
