Default Center Hill 04-28-2012

I fished Centerhill all day from the kayak. I kept Alphahawks spot warm for him. Started out with about a 12 lb drum. I was needing a big smallmouth for the Kayak Bass Fishing Tournament but I don't think that is what they had in mind. I did have a good day overall with several good smallmouth, kentuckys, and largemouth. I took photos of these 2 smallmouth for the Kayak Tournament. Not good enough to get me anywhere. All of my fish were caught on the Trout Magnet and Xcalibur stick bait.

Yes it can. In the kayak I used a drift sock and it made all the difference in the world. It let me go down the bank real slow. Of course in a bass boat you could just use your trolling motor. It gets real bad out on the main lake body but you can go in a cove to get out of some of it.

Good job, and the tournament is tough. I caught an 18.75" smallmouth last weekend, but didn't submit it. I was looking for a 20"+. I'm glad the drift chute is working for you, we use ours a lot, and it helps when you get a hold of a big fish also, just throw it out and it will help you land that big fish quicker.

I had a good visit with family this past weekend, I ended up fishing Friday night from 7pm to after 1am, but only managed one small walleye on a jerkbait.
