Exclamation Lake Granada

Going to Mississippi this spring and will fish for Granada Lake crappie.

Any tips would be great to hear as I have never fished it.

Im going to try everything there from trout magnets to road runners and may even buy some minnows. I will arrive early April.

I was just looking at that lake last week. I was thinking about a trip to there and Sardis. If it were me I would hire a guide for a day and then fish out of my boat after that. If you want to look at the lake during different seasons go to google earth and use the time machine function on the top bar. You can go to draw down and see a bunch of the lake that is usually covered in water.

Talking A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work and I love my Job!

Had a great time but only caught a few keepers.

We had storms most of the time but have rain gear.

Caught a few white bass as well. Crappie must be 12+" strange because you can't keep a 12 it must be 12.1". Caught 35-40 9-11.5" fish but did keep 8 that all were over 13" and kept 4 white's.

The lake is super shallow and the locals boat to a spot then wade up in the brush and cypress tree's.

Stayed at a VBRO in Coffeeville that is a working cattle farm. Nice folks and they allowed us to park under a pole barn next to a 11ov plug!

We tossed minnows mostly with me tossing a jig tipped with minnows.
Caught 30-40 but only 9 were over 12 with many at 11.5
Did not hire a guide and spent most days up in creek arms because of the weather.
