Talking Live Crawfish!!!

Hey guys, I have been a memeber of this website for 7 or 8 years now and I have some updated news on something I am passionate about. CRAWFISH!!! Some of the BIGGEST and BEST TASTING you'll ever see. Naturally purged with artesian well water, raised on a rice diet, making for some great eating!!

I recently became a rep for a very large farm raised crawfish and fresh water shrimp farm, and am currently the only guy in Middle TN offering these for retail/wholesale. I will have them available the first week of Febuary, and every week from then on until the season ends. Probably sometime around July 4th. Projections are good so far so the season could be a great one this year and may very well run way later.

We will have unlimited amounts but we have to drive 4 hrs to get them, so call to set up a time and place to meet and get yourselves some! Prices will be good in Febuary but will get even better by April.

If you don't want or don't know how to do your own boil, I'll come out in my customized trailer and do 'em up for you, as well as teach you everything you need to know to do 'em up yourself. I sell Bayou Classic pots and burners as well as the seasonings and everything else you need, "FOR MY COST" just to get you to keep comin' back for the bugs.

I don't make a fortune on these guys. I would appreciate it if you didn't delete the post. Thank you very much and I can be reached at 803-420-6336. My suggestion is to take this number and save it under CRAWFISH in your cell phone as this post will soon be way down the list!!

Thanks again and I look forward to talking to you!

Thanks TK, I'll let you guys when I start getting them in. They are already coming in but as you can imagine, they are a little weak right now. so its hard to transport them and keep them alive for any real amount of time. Best bet is to put in an order and we'll work out the logistics as to where and when to meet.

Average sack weighs about 33 lbs. We have a recipe from a family friend that boils 50,000 lbs a year and I swear its the best I've ever had. Its not a great secret as most of the info is already on the web, its more in following the recipe to the letter.

This is a new venture for me and I am really excited about it, in that there is nowhere in TN that I can find that raises good crawfish. This particular farm gets about 300 sacks a day out of their ponds.

When I get back from there on Feb 8th or 9th I'll post picturesz of how clean the ponds are as well as the ol' mud bugs themselves. Til then take care and God Bless!!

Hey Chasin' - welcome back. We haven't heard from you in a while.

I hope you don't mind that I'm going to move this post to the "For Sale" section. Technically the forum title is "Equipment for Sale," and crawfish aren't equipment, but it fits there better than in Local Fishing.

Also, your post will stay close to the top of that forum longer, so it will be easier for folks to find it later.

Let us know how much you're planning to charge per pound and what quantities you'll have for order.

Wink

I'm gettin' the word that they'll be around 2.50 to 3 bucks a lb. Could be less, just let me know how much y'all need. The logistics of when and where is the only issue. Remember thease are live so if y'all are needin' large amounts I have to know in advance. The price will be based on several factors as you can see. Let me know what you need!

STARTING THE FIRST WEEK OF MARCH!!!!! CALL US FOR ALL YOUR CRAWFISH/LIVE OYSTERS/HEAD-ON SHRIMP NEEDS!!! I SELL 'EM LIVE (except for the shrimp) so you can DO 'EM YOURSELF!! CALL FOR AVAILABILITY! DISCOUNTS ON LARGER OR COMMERCIAL ORDERS!! We get 'em in once a week on FRIDAY'S and can make SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS for large orders to get 'em WHENEVER! MARCH's prices should be great and will only get better as the weather warms up!

I, personally, will offer authentic Louisiana style crawfish boils. I may be the only local person here in Middle Tennessee to offer this service. All you have to do is tell us WHEN and WHERE!! We provide the LIVE crawfish, corn, potatoes, seasonings and condiments.(Lemons and onions and butter and such) You supply the drinks and beer or whatever else. We will also provide FRESH, NEVER FROZEN farm raised SHRIMP for all the sissies that won't suck on a mud bug!

No need for TRIAL and ERROR, we'll TEACH you how to do your own boil. We also sell Bayou Classic pots, homemade seasonings, and burners very close to cost SIMPLY because we know you'll come back for the 'bugs!! Name's Benjie Ray and the number is (803)420-6336. MY SUGGESTION IS TO TAKE THIS NUMER AND SAVE IT TO YOUR CELL PHONE as LIVE CRAWFISH FOR SALE. This post will likely soon be at the botom of the page SO HURRY and SAVE THIS NUMBER!!!!

Default Updated Prices On Crawfish And Fresh Gulf Shrimp

Hey y'all.

Prices are unbelievable right now for fresh gulf shrimp, around 8 to 8.50 a lb for the 10-15 count head-on shrimp. These shrimp are unreal in size. Most are 9 inches in length. Check out the pics. These were not hand picked for the photo. They were the first ones out of the sack.

Live crawfish prices are up right now. Its not the season quite yet (still a little cold in LA) and they are selling down there for 3.50 to 4 bucks a lb!! That's my cost! So, in two weeks we hope they'll be down a buck or so. I don't try to make a fortune, so my price is dependant on my cost of course.

By mid March, we'll have it rockin' so if any of you guys want a boil done, I need to know like now! My dates are getting full and honestly, I'll probably be booked solid in two weeks for the whole season.

WOW! Those shrimp are unreal.

Is there a minimum quantity on crawfish? I don't think I could muster up a crowd large enough to justify buying a whole sack, and my family doesn't like mudbugs at all, sadly.

I lived in Gulfport for nearly 3 years in the early 90's, worked at a seafood restaurant for a while and gained a taste for crawfish while I was there. I have my own cooker and all I really need are the crawfish! Wouldn't mind going in on some with others if we have to buy a whole sack full to get that price.

Let me know. Thanks!
