Default Mercury motor service

Hi all,

I bought a used boat this summer and it has been great. I am looking for recommendations on who to use to service the motor. It is a 2012 Mercury Optimax 115 hp.

I would like to get the motor serviced for routine maintenance and am not sure of the hours. I am located in Hendersonville. Anyone have a great boat mechanic to recommend?

For a fishing report, the stripers have been biting good for the past few weeks on the lower end of Old Hickory. They are on rockpiles near the main river channel and creek mouths in 15 to 30 ft of water hitting live shad or A-rigs. Giant schools of shad in the creek mouths with catfish and drum feeding underneath them.

Thanks for any information,
Jim

I finally talked with Larry today. He has been hard to get a hold of. He said he is slowing down his business and currently does not do the computer hook up for mercury motors. Super nice to talk with and gave me lots of good information about my motor, but couldn't help with my boat motor.

Does anyone else have a recommendation for a mechanic to service a 2012 Mercury Optimax 115 hp?

Thanks in advance,
Jim

I used Columbia Marine service department when I had a Mercury. They were honest, and always did right by me.

I haven't been there in a couple years, but it was Columbia Marine. It's on Denise Drive in same building as David's Lock and Key. He carried Mercury and Yamaha last time I was there.
