I wonder just how much they're going to actually drop the level too. Are they going to go down to summer pool level or what it usually is this time of year. When I drove down Smith springs yesterday was amazed at how within 2 weeks it had jumped so high.

They will drop the level to winter pool. They won't hold the water at summer pool until it is scheduled. I'm not sure when that date will be. Actually there is a lake level schedule for all of the impounded lakes.

I read a report on FB that one of the ramps on CH is closed due to high water and warned of water hazards

Any updates on the lake? I know it is high but is it still muddy? Many floaters? Have to imagine there would be.
