Talking The Wife has been on Fire this week!

We've been launching out of Cairo ramp for the last couple of trips, fishing mainly in the mouth and just inside Spring Creek and Barton's Creek. She was catching some good eater size stripers when the BIG one hit. All caught on live shad in 17-23' of water. Bass have been biting green pumpkin shakey heads & white buzz baits. The stripers have been playing cat and mouse, short biting gizzard shad, but if you're patient they will eventually commit. I would never expect to find stripers in 86º water but when there's no mistaking them when they pop up on the screen! Hope it stays this way!!!

Thumbs up

She is awesome a real poster girl for Old Hickory Lake.

You have found a lot of great fish this year.

I bet only the surface is that hot and below is still cooler for now maybe these rains will keep the water temps down a wee bit and fishing will stay great.
