Default Cajun Boat upgrades

I've been waiting to spread my good news (&#128514 but I just can't do it anymore. Just a little back ground, I've had this boat for about 3years, but have fished off of it since I was 12!! Boat is a 1994 Cajun 160 pro. My grandfather bought it new and has always been garage kept. Boat had very little storage and that has been my biggest and only complaint. Well....deezltek and I have remedied that issue. So, we built a huge, too the boat, deck extension with 3 good size storage compartments. We also did a recess pan for the trolling motor foot control. And the boat has all brand new carpet. Still some work to do, more carpet to lay and a full body cleaning for my old girl!!! Sooo... I'll throw some pics of before during and after.

That looks really good. My grandfather had a cajun while I was growing up and it was a really good boat. It had that old tall Merc on it that I think was bullet proof.

Thanks guys. I remember them ol towers of powers. Lol. Hopefully this boat stays with me till I die and maybe, if he's lucky, my son can make memories of his own with his kids on it

I appreciate it guys. There's been a lot of work go into the old girl. Yes, the finish is still gorgeous and it's the only Cajun bass boat I have seen in this color scheme. I've seen one fish and ski but that's it. The storage was my main goal, I had the one front storage bin completely packed and a tackle box on the deck. Now I will have a big fishing platform and great storage. I can fit 18 regular sized Plano boxes in the two big bins which is huge to me. And in the small one will be my buoys and life jackets. I'm so ready to get this girl back in the water and put her to use!!! Lol

My dad bought a 1998, 16 foot Cajun with an 88 HP Evinrude back in 2001, we got a good 3 or 4 years out of it before selling. Lots of good memories on that sucker, I don't think I've seen once since.

Gotta fix one little mistake tomorrow. Didn't leave enough room and the small door is overlapping the big one. But, when you eyeball and guess on custom work like this it ain't always gonna be perfect. We tried to make it perfect and was pretty close!!
