Default Offshore fishing - Jacksonville 7/15

Had a great day both trolling & bottom fishing. Kept 2 king mackerel, 14# & 20# and 2 cobia, 30# & 35#+. Boga grip maxed out @ 30 lbs., so we just guessed on the weight of the big one. Also caught a barracuda, a few bonito & another cobia, but let it go because we caught our limit of 1 per angler.

Fantastic offshore trip that makes up for not fishing in several months!

14# king mackerel

20# king mackerel

30# cobia

35# cobia

I went with Capt. Chad Starling out of Jacksonville. Fantastic guide.

Who is your relative? We stayed in Fernandina.

I did quite a bit of research before we went and ended up going with my gut feeling about a good guide because I had no references. Chad turned out to be an excellent choice.

Nice fish jimbob, one of these days I will get back down there to the salt.

Those kings cracked me up when I seen the pics. They look surprised you caught them.

Never thought of that. Now my fish look hilarious, as though they were saying "oh crap... now what am I gonna do?".

Funny stuff, Travis!
