Exclamation Prayers needed for my family

My dad was in a motorcycle accident this morning. A guy pulled out in front of him sending him 15 feet over the handlebars onto Sam Ridley Pky. They went to StoneCrest where we met him but after getting the scans back rushed him up to Vanderbilt ER and he is on the trauma floor right now.

As of when he left StoneCrest the injuries were crushed vertebrae in his lower back and his pelvis is busted up bad with some bleeding into his muscle from the fracture of the pelvis. After arriving at Vanderbilt and more scans he they have added possible bladder injury, broken rib, hand and foot.

All the prayers you guys can spare would be greatly appreciated. I have always known my dad to be tough as woodpecker lips but hearing him screaming while under pain meds as they loaded him on to the board for transport was rough.

Thanks for the prayers everyone, He was in surgery from 8a-4p before he returned to the trauma floor for further recovery. His injuries are no longer life threatening but he has a long road ahead. He will still have some MRI's tomorrow. His waist up to under his arms is in a brace and his pelvis has several screws plus a plate in it.

Please continue prayers for a speedy recovery.

He has made some great progress in recovery. They did have to go back and put an external fixation on his pelvic pins to keep them from shifting but so far so good. His shoulder is sore but the injury's are older ones and will not be operated on at this time.

All has checked out and pending a physical therapist clearing him it will be time to go home. We are trying to get him into Stallworth over there for further rehab which would help long term but he is doing as well as he can be now.

Still be some time before strolling to the mail box but hey at least he will have that option if he so chooses.

Thanks for all your prayers.

Vanderbilt Orthopedics is the best. Those guys never fail to impress me. Glad to hear he's on his way home soon.

Thank you all for your prayers.

Dad is coming home today for the first time. I am sure he will be relieved. There are only so many days you can look at the inside of a hospital.

He will still have a long road and can't put weight on his feet for three months but he should be more comfortable back in his home.

Again thank you all.
