Had a good day one striper on large swim bait maybe 8 large mouth between me an my buddy on cranks an swim bait. water at the mouth was 55-60 degrees not many top water blow ups IMG_0698.JPGIMG_0697.JPG

Nice line side! The belly on that large mouth is something else. I have yet to get out and fish the steam plant. Needless to say, it's on my list

That's not a Largemouth. That's a spotted bass, and a good one at that!

Hick is correct. That is a spotted bass, and its a pretty good one for Old Hickory. Nice fish. One goal of mine is to catch a 3lb spot on OH. Ive caught a few just over 2lbs but nothing close to 3

I've caught similar sized Spots on the bluff across from the steam plant this time of year. Hook a shiner in the nose and flip it against the bluff and let it swim around, better have your drag set right is all I can tell ya lol.
