Default Walleye fishing?

What do yall normally use for walleye. I'm noticing the fish are tightly hanging on bottom. I did manage to get a 19 incher this weekend on a grub and jig but wanted to see what yall use for the deep fish.

I have yet to meet someone who has really mastered these fish except for Dave on this site, fishfindergeneral, and I haven't actually met him haha. He trolls DHL for them and catches some giants. His techniques aren't really that conducive to kayak fishing so I can't exactly do that.

I can tell you in the summer to fish rivers where you know they exist and throw jerkbaits at night. Last Summer I caught a lot of them that way and will definitely be doing it again this Summer.

This time of year I think most guys are using live bait for them

Thats a very open ended question. there are alot of things to consider:
lake or river? time of year? boat or shore? TN has a decent population of walleyes in it if you focus your time on the better locations. Like Dale or Centerhill or Normandy. and if you go further east, you have Watts Bar and Tellico. It would be impossible for me to show any less interest in dragging baits for hours and hours trolling for walleyes in any of these lakes, BUT alot of guys do it and do pretty good, like Jimmy said, the resident walleye guru Dale Hollow Dave is a wealth of information and he is also a guide.
Now this time of year, below some dams locally, you can get some scattered walleyes while jigging for saugers but trying to target specifically walleyes alone is almost an impossible task around here. later in the year, like jimmy said, in some places you can throw jerkbaits at night. In the summer you can pull crankbaits in old hickory and cordell hull and catch them.
So do you know where walleyes are currently at you just dont know how to present a bait to them, or are you starting from scratch with no locations or presentations at all?
