Default Water reports......

Is everything washed out for the weekend? JPP, Tims or even over towards Chattanooga. I would like to get out on the water but I am thinking it's not looking good.

You might have to dodge a shower tomorrow but the squall line doesn't look to come into mid TN til late tomorrow night. Could be windy though. I can't speak to water conditions, but based on totals from the last week the further south and east of Nashville probably the better.

I had to run up to Antioch to pick some things up so I swung by the lake. Four corners area looks decent, little off color but not bad. Fate sanders are was darker and the Jefferson springs area was muddy.

I actually went wading in Old Hickory. Brought my fly rod.

Water was muddy but not at all as high as I would expect. I promptly lost two expensive wooly buggers and decided to split. However, I'll bet the action on rattle traps or cranks would be pretty solid. The water temp was just right!

Not sure where I'll go this year for bass fishing on Priest. I used to love Stewart Creek but after that massive sewer main spill...well, I won't be fishing there for a long while.

I put in at Barton's creek this morning. Water was high and extremely muddy. I found a small section of cleaner water out towards the mouth and caught 2 decent bass. One on a squarebill and the other on black/blue jig. The muddy water took over and I headed back to the ramp. Water temp was 59.5 - 60 degrees.

I ended up going to woods. Second time on that lake. The water was off but not bad in most areas. I did fish the back of a cove and it was filthy, still caught a few fish back there. Ended up with 3 smallmouth, one about 18” and 4 largemouth.

Great fish! Congrats

FYI, I’ve been doing really well in all this stained water with dark colored chatter baits. Is that a chatter bait in your pic?

No. It's a bayou bugs black and blue jig with an orange belly. All the other fish were caught on a red one knocker or a chrome/black one knocker.
