Actually, a couple of places I fish, they are for the most part 10' deep, I like when a boat runs right over them. You throw right where the boat ran through and you will catch a bass, sometimes a good one. About 30 years ago, first time I did that with my brother, we dropped the anchor and he said what are you doing, we are going to get run over. I told him to wait and throw when a boat ran over the hump. His first cast he caught a 6-1/2 lb bass. He changed his mind pretty quick.
