Only brought home 5 crappie today......but they are some good ones. Smallest fish I kept was 13 inches....the others were 14 inches.....nice slabs. I threw back four 10 inch fish....I know....should have kept them but this is Nickajack.....produces big crappie. I must admit I thought I would get more of the bigger fish but it was not to be. All fish caught on a Bison colored Trout Magnet using 2# test braid with 2# test Phantom fluorocarbon leader. Caught several 13 inch bass like in the pic.....fat fish and a lot of fun on 2# test line and Tict Ice Cube UL rod. Also caught a bunch of 7 inch chunky Gills. The wind was a little tough but crappie were just not in a biting mood. Rick McFerrin was out fishing today talked a little and he remarked how it was a tough day....a super nice guy. So after about five hours of fishing headed home.....life is good!
