Very well put, your comparison is indeed accurate as your engine runs rough while using the pure gas it is not used to... In the same your engine is sputtering on your kayak motor because the gas you are using is sundrop, however if you stopped fueling it Sun Drop and you drink nothing but water you would probably feel like you're running rough at first too right?. The truth is ethanol eats boat engines from the inside out. And Diet sundrops eat bodies from the inside out... Lol.. No harm no foul your still my dude JUICE but this is why ethanol treatment for gas is sold. And start fueling your kayak engine with WATER for longevity! Note: I do know that many engines can withstand ethanol gas but for the most part it is not good for them.
