Were you driving a light colored Ford pickup? There was one parked by the bridge.
Just checked TVA ws. http://www.tva.gov/lakes/nod_r.htm This was posted: Normandy will discharge approximately 675 cfs until further notice.
So maybe the 425 is not a true comparison.

Hammy, I was at the bridge on the lake by the Barton Spring boat ramp, there were two other trucks there, I drive a chevy Colorado silvery/tan color, the normal flow from Normandy would be between 200 and 300 cfs
