Ts, no, I did not take the yak or even take a rod with me . It was 4 pm by the time I drove out there. I have been sick with crud and was having cabin fever, had to get out of the house. I had been looking at river flow rates on TVA website. Normandy was flowing 425 fairly consistent and I wanted to see what 425 looked like so I could compare it to lessor rates later. 425 is quite a bit of water, calm, but strong flow.
Were you driving a light colored Ford pickup? There was one parked by the bridge.
