Curious about fishing the caney in a boat while they are generating. I've waded the Caney for trout prior to generation, but never fished from a boat while generation has started. Seems like it would be hard to battle the current. Putting in at the dam fishing the first few miles is the idea. Is this a bad idea or something people do? Not at night, afternoon till dusk. Would the bigger trout be biting at this time or what type of fish should I pursue. Fellow ask me at work about putting his duck boat in and trying this. I normally wade it, but have never been questioned about doing this. I didn't have an answer. I hoping someone on here might be able to help. Bad idea or something to consider trying.
