You guys are absolutely ridiculous coming down on this guy for keeping that bass. Why not WELCOME HIM TO THE FORUM and congratulate him on catching that nice of a fish?? Who are you to tell someone that keeping crappie and catfish is ok but keeping bass is a sin? If you had the least bit of logical basis for your "keeping some fish is ok but hands off the bass and trout" argument, I'd go along. The fact is you don't.

For some, myself included, part of the excitement of the sport of fishing is keeping what you catch and enjoying the satisfaction of sitting down to a dinner that you provided. Human's genetics are to hunt and fish, we've been doing it since humans existed. If you want to throw bass back, or trout, or whatever else you think is too precious to eat, go ahead and keep quiet about your beliefs. My goodness you people are like the fishermen equivalent of vegans, always wanting to jump down someone's throat because they do something you don't approve of.

We don't tell you that there's something wrong with releasing all your fish so you should show us the same courtesy.
