Those fish have amazing strength. Dad caught a mid-20's on Cordell with a small baitcasting reel and med-light rod. His reel was smoking as line peeled off and we had to slow it down using the trolling motor to chase it.
I haven't caught one over 8-10 lbs or so but I am definitely wanting to and
really want to see how much damage they can do on the business end of a fly rod.
