Dad and my uncle went out today looking for crappie. They ended up catching 60+ as shallow as 2ft. I don't know how many came home in the livewell but a fish fry has been scheduled.
He said the fish did not seem full of eggs but were all real shallow.
Go out get some guys and don't forget to take a kid. This is the fishing that really hooks them.
