Fishing regulations
Here is a photo I took of page 14 in the 2013-2014 Tennessee fishing guide.
JPP is 30 crappie each day. It doesnt matter if they are black crappie or white crappie or a combination of both. Minimum length is 10 inches. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/01/4e3yqume.jpg Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |
So, I assume someone said that you were catching more than your limit.......I learned something. I did not know you could only have one catfish over 34".

Actually what happened was I was out with a buddy three weeks ago and told him the limit was 30 (we didn't catch anywhere near that) and he disagreed saying that was way too high...so I thought I would seek out confirmation and for once (don't tell my wife) it looks like I was right. Thanks for the help.

I wish, I may have caught a few over that size but never kept them. Most of my larger catfish come from bass fishing at night and using a black power bait worm and I have not come close to a limit of crappie yet. I think 22 is my best. |
