Condition of the Stones below the dam?
Anyone know about water speed/condition of the Stones River near the Heartland ramp area?

http://nwis.waterdata.usgs.gov/tn/nw...agency_cd=USGS The above link brings you right to the Stones/Cumber water level - you can change to any location the USGS maintains. But I think the mobile site the USGS has is way better than the above link - check this out from your phone. I know it works great with iphone. It has the same info as above but with a WAY better interface. Some of their water data stations offer more info than others. http://m.waterdata.usgs.gov |
There is some lag time between when the generators shut off at the dam and when the water starts falling at the Heartland Ramp. If I recall correctly it's about an hour, but it's been a while since I have been up there.
