old hickory lake fishing report 11/18/2013
 

I went out this morning looking for crappie and found lots of gills instead and lite winds in the cove for a little while. I started off with a 1/16 oz black feather jig under a slip float and it was set at 2' to 4'. I was casting and retrieving it real slow in 5' to 8' of water and had some hits but no takers. So I change it and put on a wee shiner and work the trees and along the shore line and caught around 30 gills.If you want to know who has the wee shiner go to Walkers bait and tackle in Hendersonville on sanders ferry road and tell them woody sent you............woody

Good report Woody. I need to get me some of those lures...they almost look like a flutter spoon.

Nice lure, looks like a great day even without the paper mouths found.

I'm thinking about going back out Wednesday and give it another try and see if the crappie are hitting................woody
