Very rare giant Tennessee cricket

Today while fishing I come across this very rare giant Tennessee cricket floating dead in the cove and this looks to be about three feet long and they said Texas had big bugs, Well top this TEXAS..................Woody

I thought giant crickets were extinct. Many years ago I could catch a minimum of 3 smallies in the 6 lb range on a single 2 lb cricket.

2 lb crickets you say. Talk about good eats! There is some good protein for ya!

I gues I need to let the abstract part of my brain do a little searching:confused:, on the other hand can you imagine the size bluegill you can catch with that thing!! Lol!!:D

Are you sure that's a cricket?

Has anyone seen the Loch Ness Monster? It is reputed that it has moved to warmer waters in TN. I personally saw it once in Scotland. It looked kinda like this, just a deceptive little piece sticking out of the water.

Can you imagine how many black bass and stripers that beast could eat here? No wonder I can't catch decent size fish any more. Nessie is eatin' em all. Wonder how we could get her trained to develop a taste for Asian carp and drum? Then we could make money renting her out in West TN.

Hope it doesn't develop a taste for kayakers. That could get grim.

Here is another moneymaking idea, paint coatings for yaks that would repel the Loch Ness monster.

I wonder where the mate is with all the young are because there's a kayak fishing tournament in that area this evening and the giant Tennessee crickets come out around dust to forage I hear.So maybe one of the kayakers just mite catch a look at a live one.................woody

Well it rain yesterday evening but the kayak tournament went on as plan. I don't think anyone spotted any live rare giant Tennessee crickets live because of the rain but there is always a next time.................woody
