old hickory lake fishing report 8/23/2013
 

I went this morning at sun rise and started working the cove around the corner from lock 3 ramp. I started with a KVD 1.5 and caught one small bass and then switched to the smallest KVD and the fun started. I caught alot of small bass, drum, bluegills and catfish. Then the sun was over head and the fish went deep so I switched to the 6" black lizard and started to drift and work the bottom and caught one large mouth bass around 1 1/2 lbs then I called it a day after five hours but I will be back out there tomorrow morning. All the fish I catch I release so someone else can have fun too................woody

Good report woody. Those are some mean Gills to attack that crank bait....LOL.
