2 T.A.R.P.s and a true double from my last trip on DHL

Closed out with a bang yesterday. I took my last trip on Dale Hollow for a while as we are expecting an addition to our family in the form of a little girl. here's a 26 inch rainbow http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps909fe2ce.jpg and a 20.5 inch smallie http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps2886d875.jpg and the double which hit about 2 seconds apart http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps25712123.jpg

Tennessee angler recognition program. It's an award certificate issued by the twra for catches over a certain size particular to a species.

Transplanted Sportsman, I have a 7 year old girl and a 5 year old son so I know right where you're coming from. After 5 charters this week I'm really looking forward to some serious family time...

My client was generous enough to give me one of the fillets from that 9lb rainbow on Friday. Here it is after marinating in teriyaki for 24 hours and again on the grill. It might have been the best tasting trout of all time. http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps059d6020.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps989f4e48.jpg

Dayuummmm, that looks good. Still throwing back the throwbacks I see.

Hope everything goes smoothly with the new one coming.

My oldest little one (don't know if I told you) was able to get into the private school and starts next Monday.

Wow that fillet looks real good. I'm going to try marinating in teriyaki on the next trout I bring home. Trout is my second favorite fish to eat. I made smoked trout dip with one fillet and grilled the other on a cedar plank yesterday that was exceptional.

Dale Hollow is a great lake to go for TARP fish. My wife got two TARP fish. This was spring two years ago. A huge shell cracker, 12 3/4", and a 23 1/2" small mouth on a cricket under a float. Water was so clear I could see the sm go under the boat. My heart was pumping so until she got it in the boat. It was a skinny spawned out female she chose to release. The shell cracker on the other hand died to make the table grace.

The shell cracker actually put up the best fight. And yes, she out fished me. She always does.

Hmmm, geckel. I've always thought that you grilled the trout on a thin cedar plank, basted with butter, sprinkled with rosemary and/or thyme, sea salt, and coarse ground black pepper.

After letting in bake on the grill for 25 minutes, you removed it from the heat, scraped the trout into a garbage can and ate the cedar plank. Have I been doing it wrong all these years??
