vintage Fenwick rods

I bought a couple of Fenwick Model SP724 spinning rods with Tennessee handles at a yard sale. Lady said they were 40 years old and custom made for her husband. Can just make out the name "by Lowhorn" and the word "Jawbreaker" on them along with the Fenwick label. Is anyone familiar with this builder and are these rods fiberglass? Also curious about lure sizes and line weights for these rods. They have Cardinal 4 Zebco's on them. Thanks in advance for any info.

More than likely fiberglass. Yellow or gold?

SP 72 4

The SP is spinning other would be CA and second digit is length 7'2" and third digit is heaviness. Higher the final number heavier the butt section on the rod. SP724 was 3/8-5/8 oz. Sometimes the old rods didn't have line recommendations on them.

Those Fenwick blanks were popular by rod builders so the Jawbreaker could have been what he called the finished product.

some companies express length in inches, could be 72 inches ie 6 ft rod. I am uncertain what Fenwick did back then. However shorter rods were more popular back then (especially with TN handles).
