It's all about current and generation. The mouth of the Stones and the top and bottom of the island below Old Hickory Blvd. bridge are good when the current from a kick to a second/third generator reach those areas - http://www.tva.gov/lakes/ohh_r.htm. check this site for planned discharge info.

The area out in front of the Stones mouth had been in several magazine's before as a prime location for big cats. This was years back and don't know if the flood changed it or not but that used to be the draw to that spot years ago.

I am sure striper are there at any given time and probably walleye/sauger/bass but it is definitely current related.
