Berkley Lightning Rod Shock or regular?

Getting some budget rods and can't decide on the "Lightning Rod" by Berkley or the "Lightning Rod Shock"...can't tell much difference except for the "Shock" being for different line...I only use mono...they are about the same price and at Wally World they both are $39.99...any help on picking one? To be used with a 6.4.1 reel and a 7.0.1 reel...thanks!

Both are decentbudget rods, can't go wong with either. I haven't used the casting rods, but the Berkley spinning rods are $50 mark.

If you're using mono go with the regular. Otherwise you may lose some fish due to line giving and the pole giving too much providing a bad hookset. The Shock is made to give extra and slower to allow cushion for the braid's lack of stretch

I'd say they both would catch fish and you'd probably never see the difference unless you fished a bunch...meaning daily or for a living.

I have 8 of the shock rods and for the price they are great rods!
