Crappie patterns
 

I haven't crappie fished in months so I'm asking all the crappie masters to give me some patterns that work this time of year.

Water temps on Priest are still 70 degrees so I don't know if I should still look deep or have they started moving in a bit shallower?

Drag crankbaits?

Minnow and bobbers?

Tips anyone

From what I have been told of late they are hanging around the 15'-18' range around brush. My grandfather has been out fishing but I've not had a chance to. I wanted to go today but ended up having to work.

I'm catching them around 12-14 feet holding tight to cover....at Nickajack.

I hit a bunch of brushpiles today, 14-19 ft.
Used minnows, small cranks, trout magnets (bison), nada.
Not even one nibble
After three hours, went jigging for yellow bellies. We caught white bass, yellow bass, hybrids, and an 18 inch largemouth.

I caught 4 solid fish today at normandy, smallest was 12 inches, the biggest was 15 plus and with great shoulders typical normandy slabs, they were deep, 17-32 deep over 40 ft of water and tight to cover, only had a couple hrs to fish, but man it was great to be out on the water, seen a couple of guys spider rigging slowly following shad and they said they found them crappies around 16 feet in 20 fow

I wanted to go to Normandy Friday but the weather is going to be rough. I had planned on trolling or Walleye and fishing for crappie until I looked at the weather earlier. I really need to spend time figuring that lake out.

thats the best time to target walleyes! with the white caps coming over the bow, snapping that jigging rap or rattle bait....ohhhhh...perhaps ive said too much! LOL

Going from 78 and storms on Thursday to 63 and sunny on Friday does not sound like ideal conditions. I could be wrong, I've been known to swing and miss sometimes.

I took my daughters out for a boat ride on Sunday afternoon and only took walleye rods and baits, kind of a way to force myself to only fish for that, jigged grubs and minnow baits, trolled cranks, bottom bounced night crawlers and nada, I stayed until 2 am for the heck of it yet not one bite, I fished around the dam mainly and marked a lot of fish but who knows what they were, I talked to a couple of older gentlemen and they said walleye have probably already moved up river, I do need to figure this lake out myself, for the crappie I went back on Tuesday morning and brought back 5 nice slabs jigged deep

It will be very rough for crappie either Friday or Saturday post frontal conditions cooler temps, higher pressure, and as finicky as they are yet again Mr Randy whoops them under these conditions so you don't know if u don't go
