White River

We made a trip to Gastons Resort on the White River last Thursday and fished all day Friday. Water was low and full of moss. Had a small pulse of water released 1 or 2 times. I lost a nice brown on a white Yozuri 3d minnow at sunrise wading. He buried himself in the moss and I couldn't get to him fast enough.

This was a company trip so we had a guide. He had us throwing Power bait most of the time. I did throw my Yozuri when the pulse started and caught a couple small rainbows. We caught maybe 40-50 fish between 3 people. Never left sight of the dock. The guide checked out on us after lunch and had us throw out a night crawler in the same hole with no generation. I finally got bored and tied on a little silver spoon, Rebel Arrowhead and started catching some fish.

Beautiful country. I guess I had too high of expectations after hearing all the stories of the White.
