I'm having a great year already and I absolutely love my new boat. The Sea Ark is already proving to be a fish catching machine. With the mild temps the lake has hovered around 70. The ACE is keeping the the lake down about 8 foot. So it looks like we're back to normal. By normal I mean patterns from more than 10 years ago before the draw down of the wolf river dam. The smallmouth fishing has picked up where it left off last October and has continues to be phenomenal. These fish are healthier than I've seen them in a decade.
Walleye fishing remains good with the night bite being stronger than the day although we've taken some really nice specimens by day. It won't be long before the day bite heats up.
The trout fishing has rebounded since the kill and is producing some really girthy fish.
The prespawn channel cat bite was good but is tapering off with fish averaging 10 lbs or so.
I guess Alpha covered the gills already. Well done, some great catches.

Holy cow. I didn't realize that lake had all those beautiful fish. I have only fished for smallmouth a few time. Beautiful pictures.

The new boat looks great, super catches also, thanks for the report.

Here some better pictures of my new ride. It's pretty much the ultimate guide boat bar none. I can't fathom why anyone would ever buy a center console boat for trolling of for fishing anywhere that's not reefs off shore. It's like buying a bass boat for family fun like tubing. It just doesn't make any sense. Kind of like a football bat. They are just not the right tool for the job.

It's really the most diverse boat I've ever seen. A couple of weeks ago to took a fella from Chicago out for his 50th bday and he brought his two brothers, his father, his son and his best friend. They spend two days from dawn til dusk and we had a blast. They're pictured in the bass report. Then i can re gear and take one of my favorite clients out at night for some light tackle walleye fishing. Jim Summers gives the striper seminars down at the Bass Pro shop.
