After several weeks of frustration, I found Hybirds on the chew this morning. I prefer live bait and have not had trouble finding it in the last 10 days until this morning. Got 4 bait fish total and decided to give it a try. Within 20 minutes, I had two hybirds. Both took the live bait so deeply that the hook was deep in their stomachs - so brought them home. I switched to Rappalls when the bait was done. Before I was done, I boated 10 fish; 12 in-26 inch. 4 others shook the hook at the boat. One of the last bites I had this morning sent the reel screaming while the fish ran 4 different times. The forth run I saw a huge swirl in the water followed by another run and my 14 lb test gave up. Would love to have seen that one!
Definitely looks like the bite is on!
