Center Hill Lake Report
7 Attachment(s)
Fished Center Hill today with my son.....always a good thing. We launched at 9:30 a.m. and pulled out at 4:30 p.m. Water temps were 61 starting and had warmed to 65 degrees when leaving. Water was slightly stained. We caught over 2 dozen Smallies....numerous Gills at the 8 inch mark.....about a dozen shellcracker around the 7 inch mark...and 8 Spotted bass 11-13 inches. The Smallies were 14.5-16.5 inches. All the Smallies appeared to be males that had been fanning beds. All fish caught on a Bison colored Trout Magnet on a 3/32 jig head with a #6 hook using SOS 2# test line. I was using a Yamaga Blanks Blue Current 6' 10" TZ Jig Head Special UL rod. My son was using a Major Craft SkyRoad 7' 4" Ajing UL rod. It was a great day...lot of fun. To say these fish fought hard on the 2# test line is an understatement. They were flat digging trying to get to deeper water. Going to hit it again Monday....life is good!
