Caney Fork

Does anyone know how long it take generation on the Caney to reach the mouth of the Cumberland River? Thanks for any info.

I am guessing around 18 hours. They are generating such very little that far down the water will spread out and you not even notice when it hits. For example they are only running them for an hour tomorrow morning.

Hopefully someone else can give the exact amount of time but i think I am close.

Depends on a few factors. 1) Cumberland running 2) How much Caney is running.

Here is the typical rule of thumb for (1) unit.

Lancaster - 40 minutes
Happy Hollow - 1 hour 30 minutes
Betty’s Island - 2 hours 45 minutes
Kirby Road - 3 hours
Thayer Wilson Bridge (Stonewall) - 5 hours

The mouth is roughly another 11 miles from Thayer so that would add probably 3-5 hours maybe more.

These are start rising points not peak. If the Cumby is backing in it could take longer if it affects it at all.

I pretty much agree with these times, its about 7-9 hours to the mouth
