Got up at 3:30 to an ice covered driveway. My driveway is very steep concrete and I live up on a hill. I doubt if I'd be able to negotiate the curve at the bottom.
I'm letting prudence overrule my desire to catch some nice rockfish. I can do snow, but this is a freezing drizzle..
No need to wreck a truck AND boat for a few fish.

Merv, I am at the ramp waiting on you. It is warmer than I anticipated. Several boats have launched already.

SaltySportsmanTV 02-16-2015 08:13 AM

smart decision Merv

Not worth it!

jad2t 02-16-2015 10:07 AM

They said 5-8" of SNOW...and out here we have almost an inch of ICE.

There are a lot of weathermen who need a good kick in the balls right now. I'm pissed. I was looking forward to sledding and snowball fights.

They did not say in the AM. You should get up and watch the early weather.

Yeah, love how it goes from 10" of snow to 1/2 an inch of ice. We closed my office today. Wish I could get the the steamplant and fish.

GSP on Monday morning

Negative no go for me. Woody is correct not worth it. Just listen to vanilla ice...ice ice baby all day. Merv A great day to organize A tackle box or two. plus I think you have to dip your whole rod and reel in some olive oil so it would not freeze up.

Can't wait for those -9 overnight lows Wednesday night. I'm thinking of throwing a Global Warming party that night, everyone but SAMBOLIE is invited.

I was also going to go. Woke up to this. Also decided a striper wasn't worth my life.

Haha, thats a great pick. I went into work for a couple hours and got home around 11. Had a 8" Tree limb laying on my main road into my neighborhood with a couple more sagging into the road. One big tree 80' or so was leaning pretty hard toward the road. Hope it does not come down.

You can't have a Global Warming party without having Owl Gore there. That alone would keep me away.

I was going to pick the boat up from storage last night but decided to wait fearing ice and a President's Day crowd at the bar. Hopefully tomorrow is the day...

XxthejuicexX 02-17-2015 08:56 AM

Thank you for the compliment TK. What you forget TK is he has paid his fees to offset his carbon footprint so it's all good. My goal is to leave the biggest carbon footprint I can.
