so educate me here, why are the reds so shallow? they scanning spawning grounds? chasing bait in the area this time of year? ive seen shows of guys doing the same thing with them so shallow, or is that how they are all year round?

Funny thing is reds spawn offshore. May be why it is illegal to catch or even possess redfish in fed waters.
